Just In: Deals.Woot.com Launches in Time For Black Friday!
So, if you are a reader of my blog, you may know that I absolutely adore woot! (or if you didn’t, you do now!). Well, up until now, they have been testing out a companion website called deals.woot.com that focuses on community driven deals found from all over the web.
Since it was just released a couple days ago, I don’t have a wealth of information on it, but it looks similar to websites like Ben’s Bargains, Slickdeals, and other deal-finding websites, except with the always stylish woot! layout and design. Here’s what I know that may be different:
- Members gain “reputation” for posting deals that people like and can rely on
- Deals posted by members get to the front page by being recommended by other site-goers
- The deals on the top of the page are “Sponsored Deals” much like woot!’s original concept and don’t need recommendations from other members to make it to the front page, but rather can also be put there by approval from woot! from the selling company.
